Travel Award

Taiwan-ACGA 2010 will present up to 10 foreign travel awards to foreign graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with outstanding research performance. The awards will be in the amount of US$1,000 for participants traveling from America, Europe, and Australia, and US$500 for participants traveling from Asia.Interested individuals should send the application electronically to Ms. Sandy Wang at yhwang74@ibms.sinica.edu.tw by January 31, 2010. The application should contain the following items: An abstract with the applicant as the first author. A letter from the department chair verifying the training status of the applicant. A recommendation letter from the mentor/sponsor.The letter should include the title and affiliation of the mentor/sponsor.It should also certify that the applicant is responsible for most of the results described in the abstract. The applicants curriculum vitae. A two page single-spaced statement from the applicant about his/her research project and career directions. The applications will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee of the Conference. Winners of the award will be notified by March 5, 2010 and receive the award at the Conference.The award is nontransferable.Any award recipient who cannot attend the Conference will forfeit his/her right to the award.
